most likely a personal favorite to date. with the release of jordan brand’s upcoming trainer based on the legendary release, the los york team didn’t need to look too far for inspiration. we picked some of our favorite throwback items and decided on an all white color swatch to keep everything nice and clean, allowing our hero shoe to take center stage.

look development & DESIGN.

initial designs began clean and minimal. with a traditional three point lighting setup and a custom hdri, getting the right lighting became very simple and easily art direct-able. the modeling was handled by our friend jakob who can always deliver. i then took the final model and applied custom and procedural textures . once look dev was approved it was on to animation.

animation & Final frame Rendering.

for animation, the main goal was to have an ethereal feel to the cameras, including all our throwback to the 90’s accessories. to achieve this multiple objects were either rigged using ffd’s or splines to control timing of the floating objects across each shot.

when it came to final frame rendering our choice to render engine was octane render, mainly for its ease of use and expandability on a project with such a quick turnaround.
